The football club Bayern Munich is one of the most successful clubs in German and European history. The first team has won two World Cups (1974, 2014) as well as three UEFA Champions League titles (1975-76), four DFB-Pokale/DFB-Supercups (1997-98; 2001-02; 2004) and 21 regional leagues. The current stadium was built after winning another Bundesliga championship in the 2005-06 season and replaced the old Imtechduerenfeld football park, where TSV 1860 Munich also played their home games, before moving to the new stadium near the Allianz Arena which opened in early 2009 for a billion dollars.
